Lead With Your Heart
Lead with your Heart —
Your heart is the most authentic space on earth — a soft landing of emotional intelligence, well-being, connection, and compassion rooted in an energy field unlike any other. There’s so much to be said, and, without a doubt, this may be the most guarded realm we hold in our human experience.
What if they don’t like me?
What if I’m misunderstood?
What if I get hurt?
Well, what if you lead with your heart and trust that what’s meant for you won’t pass you by. Yes, the sentiment is easier said than done, however, immensely radical when applied with the respect that both you and others deserve.
Your heart is a radiant home, a glowing treasure of unstuck rhythms and rhymes that flow like and endless stream through time. Breathe into the exquisite nature of things — the simple joys of an open heart.
This is the route of true transformation.
The Brahma-viharas or Four Divine Abodes are pathways to lead with love so that we may walk intentionally with Metta or loving-kindness, Karuna or compassion, Mudita or appreciative joy, and Upeksha or equanimity.
Although these aspects govern the heart it is imperative that we remember these qualities are a truthful state of mind.
Metta is the practice of universal loving-kindness for all beings without discrimination, selfishness, or unhealthy attachments. The very essence of it is unconditional freedom to both love and forgive others while cultivating a freeing awareness to overcome the ailments of ill will and hatred. Know loving kindness through your own meditation, self study, and beautifully integrated experiences.
Karuna is the practice of wise compassion embodied in remembrance that we are all mirrors of each other and that everyone is fighting a battle unseen. So by holding a supportive space in your heart the heaviness of another can lessen. Not to take on the weight of the world yourself, however, the sheer empathy to see each other and know we are not alone. They say a light heart lives long.
Mudita is the practice of appreciative joy in the realm of uplifting others. It’s the ways we celebrate the wins of others, their good deeds, their good fortunes that generate this boundless state of calm serenity. Mudita is the antidote to jealousy as the key switch from competition to collaboration. Your happiness is increased when you observe the happiness of others.
Upeksha is the practice of equanimity or a mind in balance fulfilled with insight. When the mind is even and stable one can exude the abodes of the heart with composure and acceptance. The dwelling beyond the present either in past or future experiences is quieted and one begins to take up space in the realm and beauty of now.
We must stay open so we can lead from a place of love in every way. May you be reminded of the power you hold and the truth you embody on this path to lead from your heart.
With Love,
Rosie
