Tory Miell
Tory (E-RYT 500) is a dedicated yoga teacher and mother of three, originally from the UK, who has called Barbados home for the past 17 years. Now, she splits her time between Barbados, London, and Southwest France, where she runs retreats, trainings, and workshops that offer immersive experiences in yoga, meditation, and self-discovery.
A long-time student of Sianna Sherman, with over 1000 hours of study under her guidance, Tory is deeply rooted in the teachings of Rasa Yoga. Tory loves weaving ancient philosophy with traditional and modern practices, creating rich, embodied experiences that are anchored in alignment—with lots of heart and humour along the way.
Certified as a Rasa Yoga teacher and one of the school's 200-hour Teacher Trainers, Tory holds a sacred space for each student’s personal practice, helping them connect to their bodies and breathe into their wholeness. She believes in meeting people where they are and guiding them toward freedom through deep connection.
"In my very first yoga class, as my teacher asked me to feel the earth beneath my feet and my breath moving in my body, I felt this unfamiliar but beautiful sense of wholeness. I remembered I was brimming with potential, and, most importantly, connected to something infinitely greater than the sum of my parts. This experience is the inspiration and intention behind everything I offer: to create that same profound feeling of connection and unleash the boundless freedom that exists in each one of us."
While Tory now divides her time between different parts of the world, Barbados remains the home of her heart and her family. Indian Pond, their sanctuary nestled in the Barbadian countryside, is a place of powerful energy, both creative inspiration and potent medicine where she hosts retreats and special offerings.
